The Urology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine has held an update  winter academic meeting for over 40 years. The first Winter Meeting of the Section of Urology of the RSM was held in 1982. The meeting has been held annually ever since. The meeting has gone from strength to stength and offers CPD in general urology, specialist area updates aimed at all urologists and important modern areas of practice including human factors and NHS clinical management.

The venue is organised by the President of the Urology Section for that year. He/ she is supported by the Honorary Secretary, who is responsible for the academic programme. CPD is accredited by the Royal Society of Medicine.

Following the latest successful meeting in January 2025, the next meeting is being planned for 2026.
